All About television
I'm bored. Any recommendations for the summer season?
HI there guys!
The summer season is here and I'm almost out of good shows to follow. Person of Interest and GoT are about to end. Mr Robot, doesn't premiere until mid July. Masters of Sex will start in september...
Any recommendations for the next couple of months?

Halt and Catch Fire on AMC. The first two seasons are on Netflix (if you haven't already seen them!) and the third season is supposed to premiere this summer, but a date hasn't been announced yet.
Aquarius, can't recommend this one enough. David Duchovney is a detective in the 60's who finds Charlie Manson before the infamous murder of Sharon Tate and some others in the area. He teams up with a younger undercover cop who does drug cases, and drugs. S1 came out last year, but the two hour premier of season 2 just aired on Thursday. 5/5 must watch.
Mr. Robot: if you've been living under a rock for the last year, you don't know about USA Network's techno thriller about a young network security engineer who hacks the bad guys by night and is pulled into an Anonymous-esq hacktavist group called fsociety. Incredible acting by Rami Malek and Christian Slater. Most accurate portrayal of hacking/technology ever to grace the screen, twists and turns you'll probably see coming, but fantastic show regardless. S1 aired last June, season 2 airs July 13th.
Preacher: A dark new TV show on AMC that's loosely based on a popular comic book from the late 90's. Created by Seth Rogan, this gritty dark comedy has holy men who will break your arm, vampires, badass chicks and a small town in Texas with a smattering of colorful characters who all have sins to confess. Series premiered three weeks ago, airs on Sunday nights.
Silicon Valley: You may have heard of this one, the creator of King Of The Hill, Beavis & Butthead and Office Space skewers modern tech culture, three seasons deep, it's the geeky comedy/drama after Game Of Thrones. Great writing and commentary on tech & startup culture.
Halt And Catch Fire: in a similar vein as SV, this is a drama about the beginnings of the personal computer in the early 80's. A rag-tag group of programmers, hardware geeks and a somewhat unhinged ex IBM marketing executive who design a cheap, lightweight (well, for the 80's) and lightning fast computer that aims to be in every household in America by reverse engineering IBM's software from a garage. Amazing soundtrack, superb acting and an interesting peek into how things used to be before the Internet. Season 3 starts in August on AMC.
Love: a new TV show by Judd Apatow on Netflix. In typical Apatow fashion, this show deals with the complexities of modern relationships, addiction (to both drugs and sex, escapism) and life in LA. It's pretty damn funny, despite the heavy subject matter. If you're a Community fan, you'll recognize Gillian Jacobs (Britta) as the main character. Worth a watch.
Alright, I've ranted long enough and the drugs are wearing off, so I hope I didn't just recommend a bunch of shows you've already seen or heard of and aren't into. Enjoy!
The Americans.
Unreal on Lifetime is pretty good despite it being on Lifetime. If you're looking for a really good drama on Netflix, prison drama Wentworth is amazing and way different from Orange is the New Black. I'll miss Person of Interest too.
I can always recommend catching up on Vikings or the 100 or Turn: Washington's Spies!
I just discovered Preachers, on AMC. I really like it!
It's just "Preacher". It's based on a popular comic book by the same name in the 90's.
Thanks a lot for your recommendations, I think I already have a good bunch of options to entertain myself :D, but hey, keep them coming!
