I am from the future

I caved. I got the PSVR because A) price, and B) it has a PC hack for some things.
HOLY CRAP, GUYS. This is serously a real trip. I downloaded the VR Playroom app, which is really a glorified demo of minigames (If you have the 3DS then it's like all those Mii minigames) which you play to earn coins to unlock random bot trophies you can put in your VR room.
Lemme tell ya...it's WEIRD. I played one game which had you guiding a bot through a platformer level collecting coins and freeing other bots. Standing there is just fine; MOVING is seriously disorienting the first while. When I had to enter a cave, I ducked, and when I brushed past some hanging vines, it was surreal.
The resolution COULD be better, but it's not terrible. I'm on the PSDunce, not the high-falutin' PSPro, so that could have something to do with it. But for a game where you don't need to read the fine print, I totally forgot about resolution very quickly.
The headset is comfortable, even with my bg-ass glasses. The only downside, really, is that there's about 12,632 cables involved in hooking this thing up.
The setup came with a more involved demo disk that I'll try out at some point.

I'm eager to hear more about your VR experience as you play. I want to know about the games and whatnot. (You are my VR tester!) It's one of those things I might get in the future if I keep hearing good things.
Right now the roster isn't SUPER impressive no matter where you go. I opted to go with the PSVR also because pretty much everything available for it is a game of SOME level of minimal quality. A lot of the stuff I saw on PC looked (to me) like someone's artsy "proof of concept" product. So I'm hoping that PS devs bring more actual games and fewer "concept" pieces.

If you currently own ark, I would refined you give it a try, however I do not know if the devs have put vr support yet
I don't have it on PS4, but I don't know if I could handle getting ambushed by dinosaurs in VR XD

Some friends came over last night to try it out, and they were suitably impressed. We played things from the demo disk, like RIGS (arena shooter sport kinda game), BattleZone (Tron-like tank battle game), and of course Job Simulator
