If you own a Vita and love otome, I highly recommend Sweet Fuse. It is one of my favorite games/stories.
What I love about it is that the main character is strong. In fact, she's very quick to jump in with a well timed, "What is wrong with you?!" She calls people out on their faults with regularity.
Also, Sweet Fuse has puzzles to solve. So, it's not just an otome. You have to actually do some thinking. I will admit that it has been years since I last played this, so I don't recall exactly how the puzzles work. I just remember them being there. And, I don't remember if they could be game enders, i.e. cause death.
Here's the description from the PS page. And, yes...I realize the story premise is kind of silly, but just trust me. It's awesome! (And the pig isn't a real pig. It's a dude in a costume.)
"Sweet Fuse: At Your Side stars Saki Inafune, niece to legendary game developer Keiji Inafune. Saki’s famous uncle opens an amusement park and Saki attends the opening ceremony, but things really heat up when Count Hogstein—a malevolent pig—takes over the park, and holds everyone hostage. Saki, along with seven sexy men, decides to enter Count Hogstein’s deadly game in order to save her uncle and the other hostages. Will she be able to solve the complex puzzles that Count Hogstein and his merry henchmen have in store? And most importantly, which steamy bachelor will Saki choose?"

I love Sweet Fuse. Seconding the rec. The characters are appealing, but I am very sorry the ones I thought were girls were not.
It's been long enough since I played that I'm tempted to replay Sweet Fuse. (laughs) As if I don't have a ton of VNs to play that I still even started/finished. I tend to buy them the way other people buy books and they pile up on me.
I still need to finish Mystic Destinies and Loren the Amazon Princess. Then, I'll probably load up Steins;Gate.
I do just the same! Mostly on Steam, but o VIta as well.
Making my way through the Hirugashi series now.
