Torchlight Mobile - The Legend Continues

Torchlight Mobile is an online action RPG bringing the beloved PC series to handheld devices everywhere!

Not quite available yet (and I doubt for Windows Phone, so not actually "handheld devices EVERYWHERE"), but you can sign up for notifications if you're so inclined!

That makes me wish that I enjoyed actiony games on the tablet/phone. But, I just can't handle anything that tries to replicate mouse/keyboard action.

Of course, I'm making assumptions that it will still be an ARPG. If they go the turn-based combat route, I'd be up for that.

I'm interested to see how they implement the gameplay in the mobile space, but I probably won't play much of it myself. I don't like deeper mobile games on my phone. I have a vita and a 3ds for that

I've played TitanQuest on the iPad, and it works OK...not fantastic, per the reasons @Arislyn mentioned above.

My fingers always end up sliding all over the screen when I try and use the virtual D-pad XD

Apparently this game was announced in July 2015. It won E3 awards in 2015. I'm surprised I hadn't heard of it before now.

Also, the forums have been absolutely overrun by spammers. They obviously don't care at all about it because the spam threads are a few weeks old. That doesn't bode well. Why put a link to your forums on a splash page for your new game if you're not going to even pretend to care about them?

All that said, I'll check it out when it's released. I like Torchlight enough to at least see how the game play has been implemented.

The comments on a trailer on YT are savage. Being Perfect World, it's either released or in alpha/beta in China...complete with the conventions we know and "love" from that side of the pond -- energy timers and P2W mechanics.

However, someone from the team apparently stepped in to let folks know that they were tweaking it for Western audiences, and weren't bringing those popular features over here. We'll see.

this was/is a pretty fun game to play on the PC. i hope they don't mess it up.

I've played a ton of Torchlight 1+2 but sadly I don't really play mobile games, so I'll probably never get to play it.

Hmmm.... I might give this a shot if the mobile implementation is decent (and it runs on PC emulation ;-) I enjoyed both Torchlight 1 & 2.

I keep forgetting about the "PC emulation" factor.

My eyesight is terrible. Playing on a big, widescreen monitor lets me enjoy mobile games a lot more.
