This seems like a great idea, my only concern is how universal it could be. I could totally see myself using this for a lot of different things, but what does it offer over a mouse? It seems like you'd almost need to design the interface of a program around it in order for it to work well, which sounds like extra overhead that most companies won't value. It will definitely be something that devs will need to add extra functionality to use it in a unique fashion. However, it should be fairly simply to add that functionality. I don't see these being as universal as say a keyboard and mouse, but I look at is as something like a flight stick that's useful in certain situations. I see this being great for design and engineering.
