Insta360 Air looks to bring affordable 360 video to Android phones
360-degree cameras are still somewhat of a novelty, with a range of options offering decent quality for around $300 or so. A new device launching on Indiegogo Monday could bring some better balance to the cost/effectiveness equation - the Insta360 Air is a clip-on 360-degree video camera with livestreaming capabilities that will cost $99 in pre-order, or $119 when it's available post-crowdfunding campaign.
I'm always very hesitant to back hardware projects as many times people may have the knowledge to build an awesome project but that's it. There is the who chain of supply to worry about not to mention the numerous codes that vary from country to country. Software is much easier to deliver and we still see many well-funded games that fail to deliver. However, if these guys manage to deliver their product for $120 after crowd-funding this will make 360 video very easy to get into.
