Kodak Pixpro SP360 4K review: An affordable VR action cam

In the past year, there's been little action - for want of a better word - on the action-cam scene. But the rough-and-tumble movie-making world is now getting a bit of a shake-up, thanks to the advent of virtual-reality action cams. If you're used to filming movies on an action cam, you'll know that you point at what you want to film, and the camera will capture a flat frame's worth of image in a set resolution.

Just a pet peeve of mine, but this is immersive video not VR, but it looks like a cool device for certain situations. I'm not sold on 360 video for many use cases, but I do see cool use cases. For example drone racing would be cool, as well as your standard action events like snow boarding, etc. A non action use that these would be cool for would be tours where normally you could look around but traditionally with video you've been limited to a single view point.
