Social Media

I've been thinking a lot lately about the effects of social media, don't get me wrong sometimes social media is great, it boosts your confidence, it helps you meet great people and can sometimes help you meet the one person who you never want to lose.

That being said, social media can also be very poisonous to mental health. You're either constantly criticised or somehow dragged into drama against your will.

For me, it has been a mixture of both. I've meet some amazing people online, one of them being the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with. I've had constant love and even stopped hating the way I look due to some of the people who view my content. But I've also had so much drama, people trying to cause trouble for me and people who have been stalking my social media for years purely so they have something to bitch about. The thing is, you just think "ah I'll block them" but it's not always as easy as that, people can still look on your profiles whether they're blocked or not.

So I've decided to ditch Twitter, something I've used pretty much everyday since 2012. I've built up my profile, so many memories, so many friends and I'm leaving it all behind because I don't feel like I can use it how I used to anymore. I constantly feel watched and judged, I can't post anything without someone assuming things and making an issue out of it.

I'm just done.
