Ending not-so-nice behaviour that permeates discourse surrounding issues like politics, religion, and even fandom stuff.
Dear “Anti-SJWs”!!
I wish you would oppose only abusive “SJWs”. (e.g. those who ruthlessly mock white people, those who ruthlessly attack people for “cultural appropriation”, those who ruthlessly harass people like zamii070 to the point of attempted suicide)
I wish, instead of being “Anti-Bullshit; Anti-Stupidity; Pro-Logic”, you would be “Anti-Harassment; Anti-Bullying; Pro-Kindness”.
I wish you would believe both that it’s wrong to ruthlessly harass people like zamii070 to the point of attempted suicide and that it’s wrong to ruthlessly mock non-abusive “SJWs” for holding “stupid” beliefs or some such shit.
I wish you would oppose people of any ideology being mean to other people, instead of thinking it’s wrong only when it’s “SJWs” being mean to other people.

What really is an SJW? Is it someone who harasses white people? Honestly, I feel like it is a made up perjorative.
Bigots use the term SJW when people call out their bigotry. I feel like using the term in any way other than making fun of people who use the term gives power to bigots by legitimizing their made up perjorative. I recommend against normalizing or giving legitimacy to bigots.
For this reason, I think your series of SJW posts contribute to toxic discourse.
That's why I use the "quotation marks", though. I don't typically agree with it, either.
What would you suggest as an alternate way to get my point across? Anyone else who comes across this, what are your thoughts?
I would read the wikipedia article for social justice warrior and research the aspects of "SWJ/antiSJW" behavior that I would like to discuss.

SJW is a blanket perjorative therefore it is not helpful for conveying the kind of messages that you have been trying to convey. It sounds like the topic of harassment was the point of this post which I think is a great topic to discuss. I would elaborate more on the causes, targets and purveyors of the harassment.
"SJW" originated back circa 2010 on a livejournal/dreamwidth fandom anon community. Comm participants were complaining about fans (mostly female) who used social justice causes and language (what I guess we'd call "discourse" now) to bully other fans (also mostly female), generally with standard cyber bullying tactics (but doxxing and anonymous flames and telling people they should kill themselves are all good and noble acts if done For Great Justice!). There were people who'd been harassed into self injury or even suicide attempts. Several people I know personally had emotional/nervous breakdowns and had to quit using livejournal. Several large and popular discussion communities, including what was then the largest comics discussion forum on the internet, were basically destroyed by trolls who'd figured out that they could use spurious accusations of misogyny or racism to turn any discussion they were bored with into a screaming match that would net them vastly more anger, distress, and hurt feelings than their old tactics of "your favorite comic sucks and so do you." Because this was in the aftermath of a huge shitstorm in the professional sf publishing world wherein multiple pro authors had demonstrated that they were reactionary assholes, and because most people involved in livejournal-era slash fandom were pretty politically liberal, people kept stressing that they didn't think actual social justice activism was the problem, but that some people had clearly figured out that they could hijack social justice-related language and issues and use them as a free pass for bullying and harassing anyone they didn't like.
People started ironically calling the bad apples "Social Justice Warriors," someone suggested that "social justice" be shortened to "SJ" to distinguish the OTT bullying about what kind of fan fiction/books/comics/pron people were allowed to like from actual online activism, and from there shortening the whole thing to an acronym was the logical next step.
And then for the next two -three years no one used the term except a small segment of mostly-female slash writers, and then Reddit and Gamergate somehow got ahold of it and ruined a perfectly good term for a specific variety of bullying by applying it to everyone who ever mentioned sexism or gay rights or race ever.
To;dr actually, SJW was originally coined by victims of bullying to describe their bullies. The bigots just co-opted it, and fairly recently, too.
Cool post <3
I agree completely, but I would also support those who are saying that this is becoming too much about the "SJW" label rather than toxic discourse in general. To me, your points are even stronger if you remove the SJW references and make it more about abusive radicals for any position.
Fair enough point. <3
