"Stream this in the summer"

Hitfix's Alan Sepinwall has been making a series of posts recommending shows to watch over the summer, with detailed run-downs on what they're about, where to find them, and their strengths and weaknesses. The comedies he's covered so far:

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Flight of the Conchords

United States of Tara

I was somewhat turned off of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend because of the title but man oh man when I found out it was a comedy musical I jumped on that and I regret not doing so sooner. The first seaon is also currently free on iTunes if you're like me and have to put up with the wasteland that is Canadian Netflix.

Already love Flight of the Conchords so I guess I'll try out United States of Tara!

I was exactly the same on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and when I finally gave it a shot it became one of my favourite shows of this year. I didn't expect it to get a renewal, but I'm delighted it did - can't wait for season 2.

Aw, nice to see FotC get a mention, especially since that was the first thing I thought of when I actually checked out what Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was.
