I want this book

Queer BDSM Intimacies - Springer

Critical Consent and Pushing Boundaries

springer.com

Queer BDSM Intimacies by Robin Bauer. I've read a few sections of it, and it seems pretty quality. Why is the good stuff always behind a paywall? ;;

Any of y'all better at interneting than me able to find an online PDF?

    Um, I was able to get access to it through my university account. And it let me download the entire book in pdf for free. So, I guess I could email it to anyone interested? Just message me on my tumblr (I don't know if Imzy has private messaging yet), petulantdragon.tumblr.com, and give me an email address, I'll send the file to you.

      Hey, did you get my message? I hear tumblr eats them sometimes.

      • petulantDragonOct 19, 2016 at 1:45 AM

        No, I didn't get anything! And I was especially checking more often ;-; Please feel free to resend it as many times as it takes (just take into account that I'm on UK time)

        Sent a couple more tries, but just in case those failed too -- my address is here.

        I got both of the new ones on tumblr now. Sigh. I sent it to you now.

    Sounds like there might be a print version coming out later this month? as an academic book it might be pretty pricey, but if you can talk a library into ordering it...

    ETA: nvm found the publisher and it is indeed horrendously expensive: http://www.palgrave.com/us/book/9781137435019

      Haha yep, the copilot has a copy of the print version, which is how I know about it, but as she can also tell you, it is. really expensive for a book.

      • sennkestraOct 12, 2016 at 6:27 PM

        Yeah unfortunately that's pretty standard for academic books, since they expect everyone buying it to write it off as an institutional expense. Like, that feminist asexualities book was like $125 even after a decent amazon discount (but I bought it anyway because I'm a huge sucker).
