The Pepsi Egoist

So my machine at work has both Pepsi and Coke. The Pepsi is in 20 oz. bottles. The Coke is in 12 oz. cans. The price of a Pepsi is $1.35. The cans of Coke are $0.60. So exactly where is the logic in this?

I am not complaining. I am a Coke guy. The fact that Pepsi is 35% more expensive than Coke is of no consequence to me. But what is the vendor thinking? Just because he runs around in a truck with Pepsi on it, does that mean he has some sort of blind responsibility to make Pepsi look superior to Coke by charging more??

I have some news for you, chief. If you want to sell more of your product, the trick is to charge less than your competitor. We are not talking about fine jewelry here. It's sugar water. I think you have lost the plot. Just saying.
