On how to reply in rp threads - a discussion!
Because of the way Imsy threads work, my current working theory is that if you have a group rp where everyone in the same space are talking to each other, than you should all reply in the same comment thread. (Take my starting thread.)
But if the post is a setting, like the Hart, which just started. Then reply in the thread of the people you're talking to? Because concievably, someone could be on one side of a space and other people on the other side and they wouldn't be interacting.
That's my current theory. But if anyone has a better idea, please discuss!
Once I've gathered thoughts, I'll formulate a guideline.

Yeah, I think allowing different scenes per thread is the best option. With Imzy's current threading scheme, cramming every replier into one thread is subpar.
By thread do you mean upper-level posts? (For instance, the small dragon post is a thread and the Inn post is a thread) Or second level replies?
I mean, for example, the original post you made here is a post; my reply here is the start of a thread. Sorry; that's the terminology used in LJ and Dreamwidth RP, so it's what I'm used to!
It's OK. I'm an ancient forum roleplayer. Pretty much a dinosaur. I see what you're getting at. :) This is why I'm gathering thoughts.
For me, I would like things to be defined as "scenes" - so we could do "Melodian performs for Pearly Dragon's Birthday" as a scene. Then everybody could respond to the scene and interact in that time/place.
gathers your thoughts Good thought.
And obviously, whatever I put in the guidelines, the guidelines will just be guidelines, and if you want to treat stuff in an individual thread differently, that will be perfectly okie dokie.
