Curry's Ankles
Anyone else paranoid about Steph's ankles? I know he played just fine the other night. But I worry that he might want to break the win record so bad that he ignores something that he shouldn't.

Everyone has been worried about his ankles since college. He's proved everyone wrong so far!
There's a really good article on how Curry's bad ankles caused him to re-think his conditioning. He's completely changed his running, dribbling, and shooting mechanics to rely more on his hips and core strength to avoid putting further strain on his ankles. Dude's probably one of the strongest pound-for-pound players in the league right now.
Would you rather have a record that will live on for many years, or have another championship ring that people get every year?
It's not necessarily one or the other - with San Antonio only 3 games back, if the Dubs don't keep up this crazy pace there's a very good chance that the Spurs could overtake them for first seed and home court advantage throughout the playoffs.
The last time I can remember a season playing out like this was the 1993 MLB Season where the SF Giants won 103 games and ended up in 2nd place and missing the playoffs entirely. This was before the postseason rules had been changed to include a wildcard team, and was probably the main reason the playoff rules were changed in the first place.
It's really insane how good both the Spurs and Dubs are playing this year!
This kind of record I think is only valuable if you win the championship. Otherwise evertime someone mentions it, someone will say, but.......
Like how the Patriots went 16-0 a few years back. But if you bring it up, everyone will say "but they lost to the Giants in the super bowl."
So to answer your question, I want both. =)
Good point. I want them to break the record, and give some entertaining playoffs. I really don't want the Spurs to win another.
And... Curry is the most entertaining player to watch, everyone benefits when he is playing. Well everyone except the opposing team. :)
