because people are pretending to be androids that are pretending to be people to give people a thrill about interacting with something that is pretending to be a person. Fantastic! HBO's Westworld's had a strong opening year, with the series simultaneously honoring the original movie and transcending it to launch a flotilla of stories that all tied together in one of the most satisfying season finales in a long time. It felt for all... Whether on purpose or by accident, why don’t the guests kill other guests? I get that the guns don’t hurt the guests, but knifes do and there’s plenty of other ways to kill people. Hosts look real and guests have trouble telling hosts from other guests so... Huge honking spoilers. Spoilers for everything right up to the season finale. You have been warned. Westworld ended its first season over a week ago. Most of the reviews, postmortems and retrospectives have long since gone to bed. I can't stop thinking about Westworld...hope everything works out for Dolores and Teddy but it probably won't. I wonder if Doctor Ford was not an android copy he made of himself. BTW I guessed by the second or third episode that Bernard was an android! Did you like all the online theorising about Westworld, or would you have preferred it spoiler-free?
Found this awesome discussion on all the episodes thus far. They've also organized all the easter eggs, interviews, sneak peaks, etc!
