yes
I did the personality test thingy...
Thanks to @misbegotten for the link to this MMPI based personality test
I've taken different versions of this test four times in my life and always been an ENFP, but my "E" has always been borderline. Over the past several years I've become more aware of how draining and challenging social interaction, particularly light, formal "small talk" interaction with groups of people can be for me. I've used that knowledge to change my approach to social interaction, which I think has improved my ability to reduce anxiety and maintain social behavior more in line with what I consider to be my better self.
I kept those realizations in mind when taking the test today and slid right into INFP. Hello, introversion; I see you.
I'm still an extroverted problem solver by nature, often needing to voice my ideas to determine their validity or flesh them out, but more and more that means writing things out rather than talking to people and I'm ok with that. My babbling during problem-solving often serves to confuse people anyway.
This new knowledge encourages me to explore some new ways of doing things, ways that have always been attractive to me, but that are not necessarily mainstream: introvert ways. :) And it may give me some insight into some things that have been tripping me up, potential blind spots to explore.
Thanks, Miss B! I enjoyed this.

That's me! ENFP!
