If it's made from grains, distilled to at least 80 proof and aged in contact with wood, let's have some!
Fireball Whiskey Is Finally Available to Purchase in Giant Wine Boxes
Fireball Whiskey Is Finally Available to Purchase in Giant Wine Boxes
As if Fireball, the Big Red-flavored whiskey that your younger cousin Dylan loves, couldn't get any classier, the frat-bro favorite is now available in a convenient box. The so-called Firebox retails for about $60 and contains two 1.75-liter pouches of poison.

This is whiskey gone wrong. Don't use your powers for evil, whiskeynauts. 👹

Mmmmmmm... booze from the bottle. Share all the germs and pass that baby around. I like that best around a camp fire. I seem to remember helping more than one bottle of McCarthy's march bravely to its demise that way.
Wait... Two pouches.... (stuffs them into her shirt)
Perfect!!
I'll be searching google for "Whiskey Bra" shortly.
I'd buy that
That's a lot of fireball! Delicious, though.
This looks dangerous. Haha.
It's almost a ready-made whiskey bong, AKA alcohol poisoning in a box.
Yeah I just had memories of drinking games past...
I got drunk on everclear in a hot tub. I know when we've gone too far with alcohol. ;)
You totally judged me for drinking Fireball on election night, didn't you?
Haha. Did you drink it from a spigot attached to an 1.75 liter bag? Then no. (I can't judge you because I've never tasted fireball. I can judge the delivery method though.)
I was all high-cultured and drank directly from the bottle. :-P
It was election night. You're excused. Haha
I figured as much. lol

Oh hai. You were going to recommend a whiskey for me. I'm going to need a bottle to get through my first family Christmas in a loooong time. lol
I missed an opportunity to tell you what to drink? Shame on me! Give me some idea of price range. That's an important starting point.
I think we were really distracted with Clinton being trouble. lol
No more than $100, but preferably cheaper.
Nice! That gives us a world of things to choose from. Do you have a region or a specific flavor in mind? What else do you drink?
I don't have anything specific in mind. I normally drink IPAs and red wine and have sprung for Glenlivet on a couple occasions.
I can work with that.
I'm going to recommend a blend for you, something you probably would not think of, something Christmasy: Compass Box Spice Tree.
https://thewhiskeywash.com/scotch-whiskey/whisky-review-compass-box-the-spice-tree/
As an alternative in a single malt, Glenmorangie Original has a sweet little gift box set up with a couple of stainless steel cups. Great whisky, super neat cups and it's a bargain.
Both are tempting. The spice tree sounds slightly more interesting. I'll see if I can find these locally first.
Neither of those are rare, but if they aren't among your local choices, I can make some other suggestions.
That was easy!
What does long mean?
Long typically refers to the finish and whether or not the flavor stays with you. In this case, I think the reviewer is referring to the entire flavor palate being long, meaning that when you taste it there will be many different flavor notes and they will evolve. In short, it is very tasty; drink it slowly. :)
Thanks! I will post a photo here of myself enjoying it soon! I would review it, but I would be talking out of my ass. :-P
Review notes are valid no matter how inexperienced a person is at writing them. Our tastings are hilarious. "Tastes like feet." and "My god. It's like I just got a mouth full of dirty wet cat fur!" I refer to the finish on Johnny Walker as "vomity".
We should do imzy-style whisky reviews. In fact, if someone had that 3.5 liter box of fireball cracked, I would totally try it, post it here and encourage everyone to laugh with me. Damn. Now I'm going to have to get some. Perhaps a barrage of little bottles.
(I just want to know whether or not you enjoy it. I want to run out and buy some for myself now. I've only had it at tastings and bars.)
The prices are good at that store. I'll have more suggestions for you next time you're going there. :)
Okay, I'll give it a go.
How do you imagine doing reviews like that in this community?
Hmmmm... So people think I have expectations of them here? I might post some things to clarify that. I don't. I encourage people to be themselves as long as they're not assholes. I just want us to have fun and talk and learn about whiskey!
You can do a review in whatever manner pleases you. I do appreciate creativity and ingenuity, but it's mostly about being social, right? You're a musical sort. What if you related this dram to music?
Of course they do! lol .. but maybe moreso guidelines. They should be as clear as possible.
Personally, I need a glossary of terms. I could reasonably do a review if I have some sort of idea what I should be trying to define. I can (and will) do my research, but most people won't go to that trouble, so if the info is immediately available, then that makes it easier for them to participate.
I like this idea, and think it could be turned into an event. Themed reviews would be really fun. It wouldn't matter if someone knows what they're talking about, they can still drop the terms from the glossary and make the rest up, and they would learn about whiskey in the process.
Exactly! I'd been looking for some fun interactive activities for the community. This is perfect!! Thank you so much! (I need other people to banter ideas with. I should probably pick up a co-leader or two.)
I'll get cracking on some pin-able posts and Whisky 101 stuff.
I can come up with ideas all day long. They may not all be good, though, but it gets people thinking, and eventually leads to ideas that stick. That's how we came up with /photopigs, someone threw it out as a stupid idea and we were like, "whoa, wait, that is actually perfect!"
You are good at this!
Give me a mention anytime, though I usually keep pretty close track of comments. I should really be doing some "mentoring" around here.
Thank you! I will definitely take you up on that offer!
Not really an alcohol snob. Buy I do look down on people that drink fireball.
