Here in Scotland on the west coast we call it leapfrog! Yes it can make you do crazy things! Checkout the scotia distillery for something really special!
Love it! LOL! Will do!
A friend turned me onto Laphroaig a few years ago, I love it.
We have a Zork sighting!! :)
It's a must have around these parts too. Do you have other favorites?
Laphroaig is definitely my super-special occasion drink. My friend who introduced me to it, we could empty a bottle in one good sitting. What I love about whiskey, it's a good "chatting" drink.
I like Tullymore Dew -- but I originally liked it because it was a little cheaper than Jameson but it all depends on where you buy it.
For a while, I was into Wild Turkey, but for some reason I preferred the one with less alcohol in it...
You are spot on about it being a conversational beverage. It just invites sipping and laughter and slowly opening up. I also think Scotch affects me differently than other alcohols. I feel more relaxed than intoxicated.
The Wild Turkey Rye is my favorite hot toddy alcohol. I keep it around just for that.
Different booze definitely produces different feelings. One time I was going through a lean stretch and tried this vodka that cost about half what my whiskey was costing -- instead of making me feel calmer, it made me feel ANXIOUS. It was a terrible "buzz".
Those sipping, conversational adult-potables are the best.
Ugh vodka. I never found it useful. (My cheap liquor was Black Velvet ;).
If you also like the flavors in coffee or stout, you might try the Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition. It's becoming a staple in my shelf.
Ooooh, I need to find that!
