They have a couple of whiskys distilled from beer, which is unusual, but quite interesting to compare to the original beer.

Yes, the ones distilled from Big Bear Stout. Quite good, though pricey.
For context, what types of things that I might have tried do you also find tasty?
I'm not an IPA fan, so the stout distilled version is the one I'd be interested in. Looks like I can get the R5 locally though.
Balvenie, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Glenlivet, Loch Dhu. I haven’t tried the IPA one; I usually find IPAs too bitter (and that wasn’t what they had at the tasting).
