Haven't seen this one. He does look like a character you wouldn't want to run into by yourself in a closed elevator.
I finally managed to see this movie. I had a sinking feeling about it after watching the trailer and then the first 10 minutes of the actual movie. Aside from Fichtner's performance, I think that this is one of the worst movies I've seen in a while. Pointless, ridiculous storyline with horrible acting. Plus the gore levels were much higher than I'm used to tolerating.
Fichtner's performance, while eerie, had a touch of humor to it that set his character apart from the others. Carlyle is not a nice human being, but he does have a 3-dimensional personality and you can understand what his motivation is in the movie. I can't say the same for the other characters, save for Jodie Foster's. This is one of those times where I think that the bad guy should've won, if only for Fichtner's scenes being extended.
Not one of Fichtner's best roles. One of the most scary looking, though, something too polished about him. Unpleasant, but still strong character. Interesting with the storage in his brain.
