Good for her! This will be a great new hockey experience for her. Living abroad is always a great experience, and playing hockey in a non-North American country will be a nice change of pace. Plus, since Hockey USA uses the same 'tunnel-vision' method of selecting players (like Hockey Canada does), Bolden has never been on Team USA, despite being one of the best female hockey players in this generation. Due to the Olympics, there's going to be a HUGE focus on Team USA next season, and Bolden probably wants to get away from the constant reminders that she's not on that team. On the other hand, the Pride are already losing nearly half their roster (and most of their superstars) due to the Olympics, so if she stayed on the Pride, she would have a chance to showcase her talents even more than normally. Maybe the conditions at the NW are such that the opportunity to be the main focus on the Pride isn't worth it for her? Whatever her reasons, I wish her luck and I know Switzerland will grow to love her as much as we love her.
