A first in university hockey as Nova Scotian woman joins Ryerson coaching staff
Kori Cheverie was recently named the assistant coach of the Ryerson University Rams men's hockey team. Interim head coach Johnny Duco confirms that she's the first full-time female coach in men's hockey in Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). While she has experience with coaching, the university level is new to her.

Very exciting! I hope she'll still play for the Furies, but either way, this is great news!
Yeah she has been around since day one in a Furies uniform --- the Furies have lost some greats to the coaching ranks. At least the Rams are in the city --- that could mean she will stay with the Furies.
The Furies twitter posted a practice pic a few days ago - and Cheverie was there running drills. I guess her feet just brought her to the rink by habit, she can't stay away! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that she'll be on the roster.
