Dawn Braid was barely out of her teens the first time she coached hockey players. It was 1984 when her late father, then owner of the Vaughan Raiders, reached out in hope of improving the skating skills of players on his Junior B team.

Neat article! I didn't know she'd worked as a consultant for other NHL teams in the past. It's neat that she's worked with John Tavares since he was 17. Apparently she has video of his skating when they started working together and it's bad enough that it makes Tavares cringe whenever he sees it. She's got life-long blackmail material there!
