Haha. Now to figure out how to use in a sentence...

    • isometimeswriteJul 11, 2016 at 11:31 AMΔ

"Sorry guys, I've got a bit of borborygmus after eating those tacos."

"Ugh, when is lunch getting here? I have so much borborygmus."

Is that the right use? Do you "have" borborygmus?

      • NateJul 11, 2016 at 11:42 AM

Not at the moment. Only a matter of time though.

  • isometimeswriteJul 11, 2016 at 11:29 AMΔ

This is absolutely the perfect word for this. It sounds like rumbling gas in your intestines! Plus it's just funny and fun to say.

    • TheOtherSideOfThePillowJul 11, 2016 at 11:31 AMΔ

      Iknorite?

      It's vaguely onomatopoeia.

      • isometimeswriteJul 11, 2016 at 11:32 AM

Yes! I love words like that! "Sleazy" is another one. It's not onomatopoeic in the traditional sense, but, well, "sleazy" just sounds sleazy to me.

  • TheLizardQueenJul 11, 2016 at 10:37 AMΔ

Oh man. This word is fabulous.

    • TheOtherSideOfThePillowJul 11, 2016 at 10:39 AMΔ

/word_of_the_day where we keep our borborygmus rumblings to ourselves.

      • TheLizardQueenJul 11, 2016 at 10:41 AMΔ

I didn't fart babe it was just my borborygmus rumbles.

      • TheLizardQueenJul 11, 2016 at 10:42 AM

I had that borborygmus that only hands would satisfy?

      • TheOtherSideOfThePillowJul 11, 2016 at 10:43 AMΔ

My wife is going to love it when I drop this on her tonight.

      • ZorkJul 11, 2016 at 10:48 AMΔ

"You have the most mellifluous borborygmus, darling."

      • TheOtherSideOfThePillowJul 11, 2016 at 10:49 AMΔ

I will report on marital-divorce status tomorrow morning.

      • TheLizardQueenJul 11, 2016 at 10:50 AMΔ

        Grounds For Divorce?

      • TheOtherSideOfThePillowJul 11, 2016 at 10:53 AMΔ

If abuse of language isn't grounds, I don't know what is.

      • TheLizardQueenJul 11, 2016 at 10:53 AM

        Agreed.

      • KelcytasticJul 11, 2016 at 11:01 AMΔ

Can report will divorce him if he doesn't use this word at least once a day.

      • TheOtherSideOfThePillowJul 11, 2016 at 11:04 AMΔ

Damn it! The actual wife wasn't supposed to show up.

This is why you don't give your significant others Imzy invites.
