Pacman Physics and Dimensions
Oh, yeah, the classic video game that predates the era of the Nintendo Entertainment System! It's pretty simple, too - especially in design. In my past couple of posts, I was speculating about how dimensions (in this case, I'm talking about spacial) might work in other realms.
I assume most everyone here has some familiarity with Pacman. One thing you might've noticed is that whenever Pacman or one of the ghosts leave one side of the screen, they show up on the other side. The suggestion seems to be that the Pacman world is a cylinder world, since it's only the left/right (or west/east, if you prefer) side of the screens that wrap-around. We never see it with top/bottom (or north/south).
However, there is one particular species that defies that law of physics. The cherries, or whatever the fruit of the level is. They always enter the right/east side of the screen, and disappear upon leaving the left/west side of the screen. So how do you think they do that? Essentially, they're the one species that keeps far-east and far-west from being entirely arbitrary.
Maybe, to the fruit, the Pacman world acts as a subspace to them - so they enter and exit through a different portal than Pacman and the ghosts do.
