Hot-out-of-the-oven MST3K on Netflix!

Tomorrow there will be fourteen new, full-length opportunities to mercilessly laugh at bad writing. I welcome the chance to indulge in being an unforgiveable hypocrite.

BAD SCREENWRITERS: At least we actually wrote things! ME: Unfortunately all of it sucks BAD SCREENWRITERS: Support and positivity in the writing community- where did it go? ME: Like there was ever any of that

It doesn't hurt that the screenplay of a movie doesn't stand alone. For a movie to be truly riff-worthy it needs to be a mess in every category. Direction, acting, camera work. Still, that twinge of guilt can be there.... Things like this remind you of what could happen if you share writing that sucks. It can make you less likely to share writing. And less likely to write, period.

It seems common, though, for writers to treat crummy movies and books as learning experiences. Here is what NOT to do! Tired of only studying exemplary fiction? turns on MST3K This objet d'art is called Red Zone Cuba. It's pretty much impossible to watch so let the riffing get you through.

Seriously, watch Red Zone Cuba and know that at least there is no way your own writing could be so self unaware.
