Writing Check-in
I'm wondering about who is writing what and how it's going. Comments take effort and clicky boxes are fun. I thought I would try a poll.
So, how is your writing going?

I'm not writing. Motivation has been very low OTL
Same. I'm trying to convince myself that writing smut is an act of resistance.
Ooh, hadn't thought of that.
Post-protest anon sex, comfort sex, pantsuit nation orgy....
I totally agree. Part of the appeal of writing this genre is changing and challenging sexual attitudes, one dirty story at a time.
I am glad @scandalys helped you find some motivation. I would love read any of those stories. :)
Lol, I don't know if I'll act on them yet. I'll certainly think about them though.
I've been keeping pretty busy with my writing in general the last few weeks, though not so much with my erotica. I am going to sit down either this pm or tomorrow and finish the draft of my fourth Mindy Clue short, though. I think I have maybe 1k left, at most. And then it shouldn't take long to edit, proofread and get it up on KU. I might even try to get it all done by the end of the month, if I end up feeling energetic this weekend and if my reading for uni ends up going quickly.
That's cool. Making progress with writing is excellent regardless of what genre it's in. I hope that reading and writing both go well!
Um, excuse the noob question, what's KU?
Thank you!
Oh, sorry about the acronym. It's Kindle Unlimited.
Oh! Of course. No problem.
I haven't tried KU, yet. I've been submitting to anthologies so far.
I'm glad that you feel like the end is in sight for your story. That's the best position to be in, I think. It's even better than finishing something in that you don't have to think about what to write next.
That's a good way to look at it :)
If it's any help, I am looking forward to it! I read the first three and they were delightful.
Thank you! What a lovely thing to hear first thing in the morning :)
I'm writing, but mostly just practice stuff. If anything I am working on turns into an actual piece, that would be awesome but unexpected.
That's a cool attitude. How will you know when your practice stuff is ready?
I am just treating it as drawer fic. I am writing it even though it's not up to snuff. I am writing characters in settings I've been in recently in hopes that I can cannibalize it to add detail and setting flavor to stories later.
Oooh, using settings you have recently visited is a great idea.
Thanks :) It feels like the best way to get all those details down.
I think you're right.
If you ever want to share stories or ideas, I'd be very interested.
Ah, thanks. I've got a bit to go before I've got anything share-worthy again.
No hurry. Just making myself available. :)
