Because it's about time someone did!
4/13/16 NEW COMICS OPEN THREAD - SPOILERS IN COMMENTS
I don't have an excuse why i'm making this thread this week but if Jay doesn't mind i think I'll keep making it weekly.... ;)
So what did you pick up this week?
Did anyone read Earth 1 Wonder Woman? What are your thoughts?
How do you feel about Standoff? What about Spider-Womens?
Gwenpool?.... Just Gwenpool?
looking to read your opinions ;)

All-New X-men is a Beast/Doctor Strange team-up issue, and a great story all around. It's not often that Hank gets to be the focus of a book, let alone a good one. Hopeless is still killing it.
I've got several books left to read this week (including Shutter, which is always delightful) but, of what I've gotten through this far, Silver Surfer was the highlight. I can't get enough of Allred's art, and in this issue he has a chance to draw several Marvel heroes. Alicia Masters steals the show.
This is the first issue of All-New X-men I've read, and I wasn't disappointed. Hope to see Hank's new toy show up again at an important moment.
Pretty Deadly #9 is amazing. So gorgeous. Rios and Bellaire are the actual Best. And Cowles is probably the best letterer in comics today. And DeConnick is a fantastic writer. This series is so damned good.
Weirdworld #5 is great. Again, gorgeous art. Mike Del Mundo is a genius. Weirdworld has been one of those "if you're not reading it you're wrong" books, because daaaaamn. That art! Humphries is killing it, too, telling an epic story with compelling characters, slipping some nice comedic moments in amidst all the pathos. Issue #5 isn't as good as #4, but that's because #4 was one of the best issues of anything ever.
Mockingbird #2 is a lot of fun. Sharp and clever writing, bright and exciting art, and so much good comedy. It's a really good book and I recommend it.
And A-Force #4 is really good. Dazzler's mysterious resurrections from New Excalibur have been brought back as a plot point, and there's also some really good exploration of her mindset since the whole Mystique thing. Kelly Thompson likes Dazzler, and is working hard to do her justice, and doing good work with her. The issue also has the team go out for burgers. Superheroes doing mundane things is my jam. Nothing makes me happier.
The first arc of Pretty Deadly was one of those books where I think I wanted to like it a little more than I actually did. This second arc however has been absolutely fantastic.
Caught up on X-Men 92, any comic with Chamber in it is ok with me. Also I'd never considered the fact that his power essentially makes him vampire proof.
This arc of Deadly Class by Rick Remender has been amazing. Wes Craig's art is so dynamic.
I'd love to participate in these discussions more, but I'm almost never able to get to my LCS on Wednesdays. I often go 2-3 weeks between pick-ups.
I'm looking forward to reading ANXM #8...eventually.
You can always make a new thread about that stuff or just write a comment the week you pick-up. I can only speek for myself but i dont mind talking about thouse comics even monthes after they come out :)
I'll start by talking about Moon Knight #1 because while i was a little harsh on Lemire on other thereds here this issuse was so good guys!!!!
I like this kinds of stories that messes with the protagonist head and while there were a couple of problematic elements i like were its seems to be going. :)
