So I write these character profiles every week and I hope they are alright to share here. Callisto was one of the most engaging character in the Smith part of Claremont's run but hasn't really been used well since the Massacre
What do you think about Callisto?

I try not to ask this qustion at all but I have to ask this about Callisto: why did they depowered her? and more importantly why don't they repower her?
I know we can ask this about all-most any mutant who lost his/hers/theres power on M-day but Calisto is so unique, both in here reletionship to the X-Men and to society in general. Why wouldn't you want to have her in your stories?
I think she was an easy choice to depower because her mutantion never mattered to her character. It's like if they depowered Warpath, he would still be the big guy in X-Force. I think she can work well depowered because she doesn't fundamentally change as a character. I really like what Pak did in that issue of Storm having her still be a leader to the underprivileged and I hope Bunn expands on that now that she is back.
Yea i guess your right but at the end of the day unlike Warpath her status change from a mutant leader to a regular human, a badass human but still.... Mirage didnt change because of the lose of her power because she was still an X-men in heart but Callisto while being a Murlock and leader in heart had nothing to lead or a clan to be a part of. Also while i love that story, but its like the only time we see her since Son of M which is just sad :(
Well Uncanny looks like it is planning on fixing that
Callisto was one if my favourites as a kid, though I came into comics just after the Mutant Massacre. I don't know how she'd weather the post-extreme comics where antiheroes are commonplace, but she shone out, back in the day.
