OTT: Share the joy
Folks, I'm a big fan of sharing in others joy to just bring have more happiness out in the world. I'm hoping some of you share that. So I figured, let's have a thread to do so. And then everyone gets a virtual cheerleading squad :D
Keen? Share away :)

And of course I put this out here when I'm busy this weekend :0 I'll be checking in and giving folks all the yay you! and woo hoo smiles when I can. Have a great easter weekend folks.
Here in South Africa, it's a 4 day weekend as Friday and Monday are public holidays.
Have an awesome holiday, Cassey! Every weekend should be a 4-day weekend.
Thanks. Or if we can't always have 4 day weekends we need for Wednesday to be a mid week break every week.
Have a good weekend! I hope everyone is enjoying the 2, 3 or 4 day weekends.
I have six new foster kittens and their mama in my spare room! Mama is Quinn, the babies are unnamed until I can tell them apart reliably, but they have all just opened their eyes. There are fun times and big messes ahead for the next five weeks! :D
(For the life of me I can't figure out how to make the image feature work, so I'm linking the picture instead. It's a bit fuzzy, but so are they!)

Oh my goodness, they are adorable. Yay for kittens :D
Ohmygosh! It's a veritable sea of kittens!
I just want to snuggle them! Yay for you!
I just got off a panel about geek policing (subtitle: "Don't Do It!") that ended up being 99% about practical tools and approaches for fostering inclusivity. Awesome moderator and panelists, awesome crowd, awesome questions; AND I got to talk up how awesome y'all are about sharing your enthusiasm and having pretty deep-dive conversations without gatekeeping. <3
Yay for an all good time :D
Someone dropped by the library I work in last evening and donated the first volume of Rat Queens for our graphic novels collection. Fresh out of the box. "Here," she said, "I don't like it. 'tis garbage." I told her I'll check it out. Then I read the first two chapters over night and man, was it a delight! Now I'm gonna order the next two volumes too. :)
Library drops ftw! And yay for great new reading finds :)
My two year old daughter was colic as a baby, and rather than torture myself by rocking her to sleep with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, we listened to ALOT of Queen. The other day, out of the blue, this cute little jabberjaw (appropriately named Lila, X-Men fans) started singing, "Radio what's new? Sommmmme onnnne still lovessss you!"
Kid cuteness ftw!
