So Vulcan right? Besides coming from a pretty decent dubious retcon, he was also the unsatisfying ending to a lingering thread in the X-Men world. At the end of the day there wasn't anything special about him, he was just an angry villian with ties to the Summers. What do you think about him?

I think whomever the third Summers brother ended up being was going to be a disappointment; if it was Gambit, then Cyke and Havok would've had a werid criminal cajun bro. If it was Adam-X, they would've had a brother that's the equivalent of Linkara as 90s Kid.
I honestly think making it a brand-new character was the correct choice, because it wasn't going to saddle any pre-existing character with Summers continuity hoops to jump through.
Of course, in X-Men (vol 2) #23, when Sinister referred to Scott's "brothers," he never did specify exactly HOW MANY brothers Cyclops has...
So much potential!!!
I really do want Vulcan back just because i still believe he has a lot of potential, an the right writer with the right story could really turn him into a dynamic character especially with Cyclops as he was written by Bendis.
But it makes for a great running joke.
