Yeah, I understand the World Trade Center buildings were some of the most well know buildings in one of the most well known cities in the world, so it's not that crazy to think they'd be destroyed in an apocalyptic future. But looking at this comic in light the events of 9/11, it's eerie to read how close it is to what actually happened.
Any know of other weird moments like this?

This is a non-comics instance but the pilot of the tv series Lone Gunmen was about a hijacked plane being remote controlled to strike the one of the WTC buildings.
Yes, this was crazy! On a much smaller scale, there was a moment in Duane Swierczynski's Cable that mentioned how northern New Jersey (I specifically remember West Orange being mentioned) was flooded out due to some cataclysmic event. A couple years later, in real life, northern New Jersey was flooded out courtesy of Hurricane Irene, and Sandy destroyed the coast the following autumn. (I'd have to dig deep to find the specific issue. NOTE: I will not be digging, so if anyone is so ambitious, I'd point you to the first 3 issues of that series.)
I recently instagrammed that exact panel of narration because I was rereading it on Marvel Unlimited: https://www.instagram.com/p/BD4tMQoF-i1/ It was issue #1 of the 2008 Cable series. Even referred to it as "the superstorm of 2012". Freaky!
THAT'S why is stuck in my mind! It was the Superstorm part. Yes, so very prophetic. Thanks for the find!
