Asfjtsvjfxjkohddg cough I mean, fantastic!
I take these predictions with a hefty spoonful of salt.
Well, Note the title was POSSIBLE incoming. Here we are on the 12th and it's not actually up yet.
She's extended the NME box set because she needs new glasses. I'm sure that's hampering her ability to put the finishing touches on stuff. :(
It's always something. I'm a writer with time-management problems too. It's not really about that one thing that came up that prevented you from making a (self-imposed or external) deadline. It's about having an unrealistic idea of what deadlines you can achieve and/or your ability to organize your life to deadlines. I don't know why she bothers to announce dates anymore. Maybe it's motivating. Either way, I don't mind; I'm happy enough to get new material when it comes out. But I don't get excited over imminent releases.
There's also the issue of hard deadlines for things for traditional publishers (like YW 11 is due to the publisher this year, but 11-24 months before it publishes- which I find interesting, because I have a friend who writes for Harper Collins whose books release about 6 months after she's had two deadlines sail past Douglas Adams style).
