DREAM JOURNAL: I'm Walking on Lava! Whoa-oh!

DREAM JOURNAL: I'm Walking on Lava! Whoa-oh!

I was up until 4am doing taxes and watching the new Iron Fist show on Netflix (which has nothing to do with lava or volcanoes) and then I had this strange dream...

Series of dreams? As always, I remember fragments.

Fragment 1:

This was on some college campus. Everyone was gathered outside, like they'd be for the first snow of the season or something fun like that... except instead of snow, there was this massive opening in the earth and several small LAKES OF LAVA had formed.

People were walking around it, taking pics, getting too close. One person -- his hair was glowing because it'd been ignited, it looked like his hair had been made of glass.

People were being extra bold and stupid, too. And I guess the reason I remember this fragment so vividly is that this one college girl was walking over and around the lava: and then she FELL IN!!! Screaming.

I looked away and it was silent, but I got the impression that it somehow wasn't fatal. People were taking small dips in the lava and somehow surviving with minor injuries.

Fragment 2:

This was more painful, in some ways. It was like I was watching old footage of myself, years ago, telling strangers on the street about this big career breakthrough I'd had. You could see how impressed everyone was. How it immediately altered (augmented) how they saw me. It was painful. Seeing how happy and hopeful I was. Knowing the hard times ahead.

(I spent way too much time making the GIF above)
